About Me – Skye Blanks
I’m Skye Blanks, a strategist, entrepreneur, and advocate for business growth and innovation. With a background in financial management, international development, and small business empowerment, I have dedicated my career to helping businesses unlock hidden potential, optimize operations, and achieve sustainable profitability.
Currently, I serve as the Chief Operations Officer for the International Council for Small Business (ICSB), where I lead global initiatives that support micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). I also direct the ICSB Knowledge Hubs (KHubs) program, fostering collaboration and innovation among institutions dedicated to small business success.
Beyond my corporate leadership roles, I am a serial entrepreneur and consultant. I co-founded Premo Cannabis Company, a high-end cannabis retail business, and established Herman Todd Consulting (HTC) Group, where I provide strategic insights to business owners looking to scale, increase revenue, and future-proof their companies.
My experience extends to government and nonprofit sectors, having worked as a Treasury Scholar in the U.S. Department of Treasury’s Office of Development Results and Accountability and as a project manager in GW’s School of Business, Department of Management. I was also a founding team member of ELEVATE, a training program that empowers minority-owned businesses to enhance their operations, grow revenue, and create jobs.
I am passionate about mentorship and education, serving as a mentor at Tsai Center for Innovative Thinking at Yale (CITY), where I guide student entrepreneurs in refining their business models, and as an Advisory Council Member with the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF), supporting education and leadership development.
At my core, I believe that every business has untapped potential, and my mission is to help entrepreneurs discover new revenue opportunities, implement scalable systems, and build resilient businesses that thrive in any economic climate.
